We are building a commercial desktop client for Campfire called FlameCage (coming very soon!), and while researching the market we noticed the lack of a really good API implementation – so we made one. In the spirit of good dogfooding, this is a library that we are using internally and is at the core of our forth-coming commercial Campfire client. With this fact in-mind, you can be assured that we are actively maintaining the code and that it will stay current as 37signals updates the service and API.
