About Us
Gray Hills Software is a software development and services firm based in Ohio focused on a few simple concepts:
- Happy people make great products; so great effort is put forth to give our employees great working conditions.
- Our products and solutions should make people happy.
- Great products don’t mean expensive products; give customers a great value, great experience, and a great product.
- The right tool for the job: Custom solutions aren’t always the right answer, sometimes it’s another vendors product or open source software. Give the customer what they need, even if it means less profit.
Gray Hills Software was founded by a group of developers in the winter of 2008 after much discussion in planning. In 2009 we moved our operations from Eastern Tennessee (the area that gave us our name, inspired by the Appalachian mountain range that dominate the local topography) to Ohio. In 2010 we reorganized from a partnership to a Limited Liability Company and officially hand the reigns of the company to its first non-developer, our first President.

Ruby and its now ubiquitous companion Rails are among our favorite technologies.
